Hideo Kojima was a captain in the Imperial Japanese Navy who commanded the training cruiser Kashii from 15 October 1941 to 25 June 1942.

The sources used here do not record his date or place of birth or anything about his family.

He graduated from the Naval Academy at Etajima in its 44th class, and before this command he had been captain of the gunboat Atami.

He took command on 15 October 1941, three months after Kashii was completed. She went at once to Saigon as flagship of Vice Admiral Jisaburo Ozawa. Under Kojima she escorted the troop convoy that landed on the Kra Isthmus on 8 December 1941, the later Malaya convoys, the convoy for Bangka and Palembang, the landings in northern Sumatra in March 1942 and the first convoy to Rangoon. From April she was flagship of the First Southern Expeditionary Fleet at Singapore. He was relieved on 25 June 1942.

He was later promoted rear admiral.
