Stanislaw Tytus Dzienisiewicz had two of these cruisers. He had ORP Dragon from 12 January 1944 until 15 July 1944, and he was in command when a Neger torpedo wrecked her off Normandy. He then had ORP Conrad, the former HMS Danae, from 4 October 1944 until 26 July 1945.

Uboat.net gives his birth as 4 January 1897 at Radziechowice and his death as 14 May 1979 in London. The officer page titles him Kmdr., captain in the English parenthesis. Both ship lists style the cruiser appointments Kmdr.por., commander. The command lines keep commander, the rank those lists print for the appointments. The same officer page dates Kmdr. (Capt.) from 3 May 1945, while he still had Conrad.

The officer page gives Por.mar. (Lt.) from 1 June 1919, Kpt.mar. (Lt.Cdr.) from 1 January 1929, Kmdr.ppor. (Cdr.) from 1 January 1935, Kmdr.por. (Cdr.) from 19 March 1939, and Kmdr. (Capt.) from 3 May 1945. It lists a mention in despatches with no date. The English ranks are the parenthetical ranks uboat.net prints. The person record uses navy pmw.

In Dragon he had the Normandy bombardment. On 8 July 1944 the torpedo hit between the funnels and a magazine exploded. Thirty-seven men were killed. Mason says several others were injured. The uboat.net ship page says 14 injured. The ship was beached and expended as a breakwater. His appointment runs to 15 July, the day before Mason says the last of the company left. On 4 October he commissioned Danae as Conrad, the replacement. He had her in home waters through the end of the European war and left her on 26 July 1945, before the Japanese surrender. Romuald Nalecz-Tyminski relieved him.

He died in London on 14 May 1979. He is one man on the two uboat.net command lists, not two officers of the same surname.
