USS Alchiba (AK-23) was an Arcturus-class cargo ship of the United States Navy. Sun Shipbuilding at Chester launched her on 6 July 1939.

The Navy commissioned Alchiba on 15 June 1941. She entered service as a cargo ship under the hull number AK-23 and was later reclassified AKA-6.

On 7 August 1942 she was with the landings on Guadalcanal and Tulagi. In that operation she served as a cargo ship in Transport Division C. Her place that day was off Beach Red. James Shepherd Freeman was in command. Alchiba survived her wartime service. The Navy decommissioned her at Portsmouth on 14 January 1946.
