Photos and infoBathurst-class corvette. Off Darwin she dodged a torpedo from I-124 and made the first attack. The kill is shared with Katoomba, Lithgow, and Edsall.
Bathurst classMade the first depth-charge attack on I-124, 20 January 1942. A torpedo from the submarine missed her. Officially credited with Katoomba, Lithgow, and Edsall. Survived the war. Paid off 30 June 1948. Sold for scrap in 1956.
